Today, Jorge Tavares presented the research work “Detection of vehicle-based operations from #geolocation data” at the 24th Euro Working Group on Transportation Meeting – #EWGT2021. In this work, we studied the application of diverse approaches for detecting vehicle-based operations and identified different operations related to the #bus services. The operations were characterized according to the distribution of the events, allowing to identify specific operations characteristics. A real-time data stream of buses geolocations from Rio de Janeiro was used as case study.
