T\u00e2nia is a researcher at INESC TEC and the PI of projects opti-MOVES. She has been participating in other ongoing projects as the INDAIRPOLLNET and working as an evaluation expert for several international funding programs including Horizon 2020. Since 2010, T\u00e2nia has participated in several national and European R&D projects in areas related to transport systems and air quality management in cooperation with several research centres from different universities, companies, and governmental institutes. Currently, her research interests are focused on public transport air quality management, mobility data management, information system design, and network optimization.\u00a0T\u00e2nia has a background in Environmental Engineering (2001) and Informatics Engineering (2007). T\u00e2nia holds a PhD in Environmental Sciences at the University of Aveiro (2010).<\/p>\n

Teresa is an Assistant Professor in the School of Engineering of University of Porto and a senior researcher at INESC TEC in Porto. and the co-founder and CEO of OPT S.A., a company that develops innovative solutions for the optimization of public transport operation, the provision of passenger information and mobility management. She has participated in several national and European R&D projects in areas related to transport systems and mobility. She collaborates regularly with the largest public transport companies in Portugal as a researcher and consultant. and was responsible for the development and implementation of several innovative systems for the operational planning, mobile ticketing, and passenger information in several of those companies. The academic and professional background led her to have a broad and multidisciplinary perspective of the current transport and mobility challenges. Her main research interests are operational research, data science, human-computer interaction, and transport systems. Teresa has a background in Mathematics from the University of Coimbra and a Master in Electrical and Computers Engineering.<\/p>\n

Ana is Associate Professor of the School of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). Her main research area is Operational Research and Data Science, with emphasis on the development of models for evaluating efficiency and productivity evolution using the Data Envelopment Analysis Technique. She is pro-director of FEUP, director of the Integrated Master in Engineering and Industrial Management of FEUP and member of the Pedagogical Council of FEUP. She is coordinator of the Data Science area of the MIT-Portugal Program. She was vice president of the Portuguese Association of Operational Research (2011-2012) and vice director of the Doctoral Program in Engineering and Industrial Management at FEUP. Her interestes are mostly focused in the area of Management Science. She has been involved in research projects in different areas namely transport, retail, quality of life and sustainable development of countries and cities, and benchmarking of wastewater utilities. She holds a graduation in Industrial Engineering and Management from FEUP (1995). PhD in Industrial and Business Studies from Warwick Business School, United Kingdom (1999). After 15 years at the Faculty of Economics, he is now an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of U. Porto, where he holds the positions of Subdirector of the Dep. of Informatics Engineering, Director of the Ph.D. programme on Informatics Engineering and Adjunct Director of the M.Sc. programme on Data Science and Engineering. Carlos also teaches at the Porto Business School, where he is the co-Director of the executive programme on Business Intelligence & Analytics. He is a post-graduation supervisor at the Universidade de S\u00e3o Paulo. Recently, Carlos joined Fraunhofer Portugal AICOS as Innovation Lead and he is a researcher at the Laboratory for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science (LIACC) and at LIAAD-INESC TEC. The focus of his research is on metalearning\/autoML but he has a general interest in Machine Learning\/Data Mining, Business Intelligence and Evolutionary Computation. He has participated in more than 20 national and international R&ID as well as consulting projects. His collaborations with companies include SMARKIO, Farfetch, InovRetail, WeDo, CreativeSystems, Bivolino, among others. He has participated in the organization of several events, including some of the most relevant in the world in the areas of data science and machine learning, namely KDD 2009 and ECML PKDD 2012 and he was one of the programme chairs for ECML PKDD 2015 and IDA 2016. In 2009, he was awarded the Scientific Merit and Excellence Award of the Portuguese AI Association. Carlos obtained an undergraduate degree (licenciatura) in Systems Engineering and Informatics from University of Minho, Portugal, an M.Sc. degree in Artificial Intelligence and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from University of Porto, Portugal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Joana received a M.Sc. in Industrial Engineering in 2009, and a M.Sc. in Quantitative Methods in 2012, by the University of Porto. Her research interests include operations research, optimization methods, transport systems, data mining and data analysis.<\/p>\n

His research interest is renewable energy with a focus on hydrogen utilization and transport systems.<\/p>\n

Jorge is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering of University of Porto (FEUP) and Senior Researcher at INESC TEC in Porto. He began his professional career in the industry as a Maintenance Engineer, in 1978. Since 1987, he has been working as consultant and leader of several industry projects at INEGI, an R&D interface institute of the U. Porto. He was Coordinator of the Industrial Engineering and Management Unit at FEUP (1997-98 and 2003-05). He was a member of the Board of STCP, the Public Transport Company of Porto (1998-2002 and 2006-2012) and a member of the Direction of the Portuguese Association of Operational Research (2005-2007). He has participated over the years in several national and European R&D projects in areas related to transport systems and mobility. His main research interests are public transport; transport planning; urban mobility; transport policy; business strategy, and morphological analysis. He participates regularly in the scientific and technical committees of the EURO Conferences in DSS and Transportation. He is currently a member of the Editorial Board of the \u201cTransportation Research Procedia\u201d Journal and belongs to the Advisory Board of the EURO Group on DSS. He holds a graduation in Electrical Engineering from FEUP (1978), a M.Sc. in Operational Research from the Technical University of Lisbon (1989) and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science from University of Porto (1996).<\/p>\n

Jorge\u00a0is, since 2014, a Full Professor at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP), responsible\u00a0for courses on Decision Support Systems and Operations Management. He is Director of\u00a0the Doctoral Program in Transportation Systems at\u00a0FEUP, created in the\u00a0framework of the MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) Portugal Program (MPP). Since the beginning of the MPP he was FEUP\u2019s representative in the Steering Committee of the Transportation Systems area. He was President of the Portuguese\u00a0Operational Research Society\u00a0(APDIO) and founder and director of a post-graduation in Operations Management at Porto Business School (PBS). He was member of the Academic Council of PBS, having been chairman for 4 years. As a researcher at INESC TEC, he was, for more than 10\u00a0years, the scientific coordinator of the Centre for Enterprise Systems\u00a0Engineering (CESE), having actively participated\u00a0in several large national and\u00a0European R&D projects, in areas such as supply chain management, operations management, cooperative networks, transportation systems and mobility. His main research areas are: Operations Research, DSS, Operations Management, Transportation Systems, Logistics, and Collaborative Networks. He has regularly participated in consultancy and dissemination activities. Jorge holds a M.Sc. in Operations Research and Systems Engineering, from the Technical University of Lisbon (1987) and a PhD in Operations Research (Universit\u00e9 Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, 1989).<\/p>\n

Thiago Sobral is a researcher at INESC TEC and Invited Assistant Professor at the School of Engineering of the University of Porto (FEUP). He holds a PhD in Transport Systems (MIT Portugal Program), a M.Sc. in Services Engineering and Management from FEUP, and a B.Sc. in Applied Mathematics, with major in Scientific Computing from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). He has been participating in research projects related to urban mobility, and has taught some workshops on Data Visualization, and courses on Information Systems, Computer Programming, and Human-Computer Interaction. His main research interests are Data Visualization, Semantic Web Technologies and Ontology modeling.<\/p>\n
